Anti-BACE1 / BACE Antibody MX-C3879
Details
Responsible for the proteolytic processing of the amyloid precursor protein (APP). Cleaves at the N-terminus of the A-beta peptide sequence, between residues 671 and 672 of APP, leads to the generation and extracellular release of beta-cleaved soluble APP, and a corresponding cell-associated C-terminal fragment which is later released by gamma-secretase.

specificity | Recognizes human BACE-1. This antibody was selected for its ability to detect human or mouse BACE-1 in Western Blots and direct ELISAs. In Western Blots, no cross-reactivity was observed with rhBACE-2, rmBACE-2, rhADAM8, rmADAM9, rmADAM10, rhADAM15, or rh |
storage | Store at -20°C prior to reconstitution. After reconstitution aliquot and freeze at-20°C. Avoid frequent freeze thaws. |
type | Primary |
usage | Western Blot-This antibody can be used at 1-2 ug/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect human or mouse BACE-1. Using a colorimetric detection system, the detection limit for rhBACE-1 is approximately 5 ng/lane under non-reducing and reducing |
